The Land of Big Kids

10 days, 4 cities, 1 mountain. Plus whole family ranging 9-40+ years old with different needs & patience. A bit crazy holiday trip with few random moments to stop and shoot.

West's East

This may look like a stereotype, "total" Japan. Unique, different, characteristic. Like from all that anime we all saw. And it is. Up to a point. What I mean is that almost all, if not all highly developed countries have this Western vibe and modern feel. Especially Tokyo, judging by just a few days I spent there had a bit to global vibe for me. But still - it had it's wonderful moments and places soo worth to check and breath.

Contemporary blindness

Around 10 years ago, visiting South Korea [ “Different Yet the Same” gallery ] I was surprised to see most of the people focusing on their phones, reading, calling etc. There were some people still looking around, but growing smartphones availability started to make it toll. Today, it’s not only Tokyo but all of our Western cities that are took over by what’s distant, flashy, artificial. Discarding that what’s near, emotional, just before our eyes. Discarding what’s interesting and true and real.
